• 2.2 AI Inputs (User Content): Photos of plants you upload, text queries you type, and chat history with the AI Coach.

• 2.3 Usage & Device Data: IP address, device model, operating system, and app usage metrics.

• 2.4 Location Data:

  • General: We deduce approximate location from IP address for regional plant advice.

  • Precise: If you enable GPS permissions, we collect precise location to improve identification accuracy (e.g., distinguishing plants native to specific regions).

3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

• To Provide Services: Identifying plants and answering your questions.

• To Improve Our AI (Research & Development): We may use anonymized AI Inputs (photos and chat logs) to retrain our computer vision models, improving accuracy for all users.

• Communication: Sending subscription notices and updates.

4. DATA SHARING: AI SERVICE PROVIDERS This is how our AI works: To generate answers, we must transmit your text queries and image inputs to third-party Large Language Model (LLM) providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Cloud).

• Data Minimization: We do not send your name or payment info to these AI providers—only the prompt content necessary to get an answer.

• Retention: These providers are generally restricted from using your data to train their own foundational models, but their retention policies are governed by their respective privacy terms.

5. DATA RETENTION & DELETION

• Retention: We store your chat history and plant journal until you delete them or your account.

• Deletion: You may request full account deletion via the "Settings" menu in the app. Upon request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, unless legally required to retain it.

6. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & ADS The App may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., for purchasing gardening tools). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
